Management Team: Partners
 | Donald J. Elmer, Managing General Partner

Since forming PHV in 1993, Don has compiled a very successful track record of 30
investments across multiple funds. He is currently the acting CEO and Chairman of the Board
of Koronis Pharmaceuticals, Inc., and a board member of ViaCyte, Inc. He has extensive
prior board experience and has successful operational experience over a twenty-year period
in early-stage technology companies. He sits on the Seattle University Science & Engineering
Advisory Board and the Advisory Board for the College of Business and Economics at Western
Washington University, and is a past member of the board of the Washington Biotechnology &
Biomedical Association.

Don earned a B.A. from Western Washington University and an M.A. from the University of
Pennsylvania. |
 | Jean-Pierre Laurent, Ph.D., Principal

Jean-Pierre has extensive experience in applied biochemistry as a result of over nine years
as a scientist in both academic and commercial settings. As a Principal at Pacific Horizon
Ventures, he is involved in both the evaluation and post-investment follow-up of the firm's
biotechnology investments. JP has served as a member of the Washington Biotechnology and
Biomedical Association's Invest Northwest selection committee.

JP earned a B.S. in biology from Université des Sciences et Techniques de Lille and his Ph.D.
in Population Biology & Ecosystems at Université des Sciences et Techniques du Languedoc.
He first came to the U.S. to learn molecular Biology applied to infectious diseases, which he
practiced for seven years in both protozoan and prokaryotic systems. |
 | David A. Krekel, Principal

David A. Krekel is a Principal and joined Pacific Horizon Ventures while completing his
M.B.A. from the University of Washington. Prior to his M.B.A., Dave worked at Virginia Mason
Medical Center where he had operational responsibility for outpatient surgery groups. During
that time he gained a broad and comprehensive understanding of the demand side of the
healthcare equation.

In addition, Dave brings strong research and analysis skills to his chief responsibilities, which
are conducting financial and strategic due diligence on identified investment opportunities and
tracking portfolio investments. Dave received a B.S. in Chemistry from Harvey Mudd College
and an M.B.A. from the University of Washington. |
 | William G. Robbins, Principal

Will is the Business Relations Principal for Pacific Horizon Ventures. Along with managing
the day to day operations of the firm, he manages Limited Partner accounts as well as
public relations efforts with our extensive network of individual and organizational contacts
across North America and Europe. In addition, he provides competitive analysis and market
research as part of our due diligence process. Will has served as a member of the investor
selection committee for the annual Invest Northwest conference sponsored by the Washington
Biotechnology and Biomedical Association.

Will received his B.A. degree from the Catholic University of America. |
Management Team: Advisory Board Members
 | Harold Shattuck

Mr. Shattuck joined the board of Pacific Horizon Ventures in 1998. Since 1991, he has been
the President of MC Techinvest, a specialized consulting firm serving early- and growth-stage
companies. He spent several years in venture capital with Xerox Venture Capital and Motor-
Columbus, a Swiss Corporation investing in the United States. Earlier, he held senior positions
with Amdahl Corporation and Montgomery Securities.

Mr. Shattuck received a B.S.E.E. from North Dakota State University and later attended
business school at Stanford University. |
 | John M. Steel

Mr. Steel joined the board of Pacific Horizon Ventures in 1998. He is a principal in the law firm
of DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary in Seattle, where he manages the firm's securities practice.
Mr. Steel has over twenty-five years experience in corporate finance and securities law.
He received his B.A from Stanford University and is a graduate of the University of Washington
Law School. |
 | Peter H. Van Oppen

Mr. Van Oppen has been a limited partner in every Pacific Horizon Ventures fund since 1993
and joined the Pacific Horizon Ventures board of advisors in 2005. Mr. Van Oppen was the
Chairman and CEO of Advanced Digital Information Corporation (NASDAQ: ADIC), before
ADIC was acquired by Quantum in August 2006. The professional relationship between Mr.
Van Oppen and Mr. Elmer dates to the 1970s when they were both employed in the Seattle
office of Price Waterhouse & Co. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Western Wireless
Corporation and The Basketball Club of Seattle, a former director of the Seattle Branch of the
Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco and a current Trustee of Whitman College. Mr. Van
Oppen received his B.A. from Whitman College and has an M.B.A. from Harvard University. |
